Farm Aid Testimonial Advertisment
This project involved writing a testimonial ad for a chosen non-profit organization. My task was to include a headline, body copy, and a call to action. I chose the Farm Aid organization and incorporated hip-hop music into its live concert event in order to attract a new market segment.
Celebrity Testimonial- KRS One (Hip Hop Legend)
The goal of this ad was to introduce an market segment into the Farm Aid concert line up. The celebrity chosen was the legendary hip-hop artist KRS One. He was the perfect candidate for this particular ad mainly for the knowledgable and conscientious rap lyrics written in his songs. KRS One is also known for his insightful social commentary and activism. He is an artist who speaks out against corporate corruption and teaches healthy eating habits. The tagline "It's Food For Thought." has a double meaning. On one hand, KRS One's thoughtful lyrics provide mental sustenance, while on the other hand, the fresh foods provided by local farmers positively benefit the brain's physical development.
