Computer Games Calendar- June

This was a promotional piece for the cancelled project called UFS Vanguard. Computer Games Magazine wanted an image for the game to represent the month on June and this was the design that I came up with.

UFS Vanguard- Render
This project was promotional material created for a new Intellectual Property called UFS Vanguard, which never saw the light of day. As the lead artist on this project, I was presented with the opportunity to create an image for the Computer Games Magazine Calendar. I created this image to represent the concept of the video game. This game was about size, so each object in the scene is large in and of itself, but gets dwarfed in size by another object in the scene. I created the real-time models, textures, render them in 3ds Max and composited the elements in Adobe Photoshop. 
UFS Vanguard- Conceptual Design
Here is the conceptual design for the main capital ship. I art directed the concept, but it was beautifully designed and illustrated by Dorje Bellbrook. This image was excellent for the modeling process, as well as, for gaging the size of these ships. A Boeing 747 is massive, but is only a third the size of one of the spaceship's engines.
